Alien Spacecraft A large horseshoe-shaped alien craft the crew of the Nostromo encounters when they respond to what they interpret as a distress call from the planet Acheron. Upon exploration of the ship, the crew finds that its interior more closely resembles that of the inside of a creature than a machine. When Kane is lowered into a tunnel inside the ship, he finds a nest of eggs and is attacked by the facehugger that is brought back to the Nostromo.
